This Term

Hawthorn Class will be learning about The Bronze Age to The Iron Age. During this topic we shall explore the changes from the Bronze Age to the Iron Age and how the people of Bronze Age Britain use the land and how this compares to today. Our English work will focus on the text ‘The Boy with The Bronze Axe’, poetry titled ‘Grave Goods’ and a story with a historical setting ‘Journey Back
to Freedom: The Olaudah Equiano Story’. In maths, the children will build on their place value, addition and subtraction, multiplication and division, length, perimeter and area skills.

RE this term will focus on ‘The Bible’ by focusing on the question: How and why do Christians read the Bible? and later in the term ‘Christmas’ by exploring the question: How do our celebrations reflect the true meaning of Christmas?

PE days this term are Monday and Friday. Please send your child in Active Uniform on these days.
