Hawthorn Class

Hawthorn Class is a class of 31 Year 3 and 4 children, taught by Mr McDonald and supported by Mrs Russell and Mrs Cullen.

This term, Hawthorn Class will be learning about the Stone Age. During this topic we shall travel back over 5,000 years to investigate the lives of people across the three stages of the Stone Age, what sort of people they were and what was important to them. We shall write a Stone Age story based around the book ‘Stone Age Boy’ by Satoshi Kitamura. Our RE focus is Jesus: the man who changed lives and later on we will explore the sadness and joy of Easter. PE days are Wednesday for swimming and Thursday for dance – please be mindful to take out jewellery and provide a named PE kit for children.

Please see our Curriculum News for the Spring term to find out a little more.
